Law Course Details
Law courses are the courses meant for the study of judiciary and law. The career in the field of law is very popular among the students. In India, a career in law has a wide scope nowadays. The candidates can pursue the law stream at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or doctorate level (Ph.D.) to practice a profession in legal. The courses have specializations like criminal law, civil law, corporate law, patent law as well as cyber law. - The candidates who can eligible to acquire admission in undergraduate courses in integrated law degree (such as BA with LLB, BBA with LLB, BSc with LLB, B.Com with LLB, etc) has to pass Higher Secondary or its equivalent exam from a recognized board of education with minimum marks of 45%. The duration of an integrated LLB degree is five years. And the normal LLB degree is three years.
- For acquiring admissions of PG, candidates need to be graduated (LLB) or equivalent degree from a recognized university/law colleges.
- Candidates can acquire diploma courses at both UG and PG levels. The duration of the diploma or PG diploma law courses ranges from one to three years.
- Certificate law courses, the short term course duration is about 6 months.
Admissions for law courses are mainly based on the entrance exams. The major law entrance exams are Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by National Law University, All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) conducted by National Law University, Law School Admission Test – India (LSAT India), Delhi University LLB Entrance Exam (DU LLB Entrance Exam)
