Scope of Nursing Courses: The World Health Organization (WHO) report, State of the World’s Nursing, estimates there was a global shortage of 5.9 million nurses in 2018, a slight improvement from the 6.6 million shortage in 2016. This means that nursing is a profession that is in dire demand now and most probably for the foreseeable future. Apart from the demand, we believe nursing is a career field unlike any other where the necessity for nobility and love is required with the very demanding role of the job. It comes as no surprise that even during a pandemic, one of the few roles in the world which require no lapse on their part is the medical field and in extension, nurses.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Nursing is an undergraduate degree course which is focusing on preparing talented nursing professionals. This course is designed to enhance nursing skills which aim at creating nurses who are professionals and experts in working at hospitals. It is a paramedical course with a duration of four years. The course focuses mainly on the basics of Nursing, Human Anatomy, Nutrition, Microbiology, etc. A large number of students are passing out every year as B.Sc Nurse. The course is available in every place in Karnataka. The course fee varies up to two lakhs per year. The basic eligibility criteria for admission are having 50% of marks with science subject in higher secondary. The admission process of this course by mainly NEET. The basic salary per annum for the candidates is starting from 1.5 lakhs INR. This course provides training in different aspects of nursing to increase the efficiency of nursing to have better job opportunities.
